Sheila has been practicing yoga since 1995 and teaching since 2015. Her path to teaching was not always a straight one, having been derailed by a car accident in 2010 that prevented her from practicing for almost five years. The determination to return to yoga led her to gain her RYT-200 Certification in Vinyasa Flow from Rise Yoga and Movement Center in Saratoga Springs. There she learned that yoga was her way to complete recovery, both physically and mentally.

Sheila loves the lifelong learning yoga offers and she continues to be an enthusiastic student of many varieties of yoga, but finds her passion in a vinyasa style class as it continues to be a source of healing. Sheila’s classes focus on yoga philosophy with a bit of humor, the practice of quieting the mind through breath and flow of movement designed to promote strength and stability.

In addition to teaching and learning yoga, Sheila has a small law practice and divorce mediation practice.
She lives in Glens Falls and Keene Valley with her husband and daughter. The family loves to hike, ski and travel when the opportunity arises. They are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community of Keene Valley.
